The types of pests prevalent in your area
Entry points for pests that are invading your home
Causes of invasion
The presence of small children, pets, and any other concerns

The Peachtree Promise

We are committed to 100% customer satisfaction. That means that we will provide additional service at no cost if pests return to your home or business after we have performed treatment.

Roaches and Integrated Pest Management

If you live in the Southeast, chances are high that you’ve had an encounter with a roach or “Palmetto bug,” as they’re often called. In nature, roaches help recycle organic material; however, they can also contaminate food and spread disease if they infiltrate your home.

While there are over 70 identified roach species within the US, there are four main types that we deal with in our region:

German roach • American roach • Smoky Brown roach •Asian roach

The term Palmetto bug is often used to refer to larger species like American or smokybrown roaches, though it is not a scientific name.

Ants and Integrated Pest Management

The ant is one of the most common pests we deal with throughout Georgia, Florida and South Carolina. While they have a biological role to play in nature, ants can quickly become a nuisance when they start invading your home and foraging for food.

There are over 700 ant species across the United States and approximately 25 types that commonly infest homes. In the Southeast, these include:

Carpenter ants • Fire ants • Crazy ants• Pharaoh ants • Acrobat ants • Argentine ants • Ghost ants
Spiders and Integrated Pest Management

With over 40,000 species around the world, spiders are a diverse group of arachnids that have adapted to living in all but the coldest conditions and underwater. Many species build either an orb-shaped or a funnel-shaped web, while others burrow in the ground or live free range.

Mosquito Control

In the Southeast, mosquitos are one of the most aggravating pests around. To make matters worse, mosquitos are notorious vectors that can transmit infectious diseases such as malaria, West Nile fever and the more recent Zika virus.

Fortunately, Peachtree Pest Control is equipped to help rid your home or business of these itch-inducing nuisances. We are one of few pest control companies to be licensed through the Georgia Department of Agriculture for mosquito control. This means that we are authorized to use appropriate mosquito larvicide and adulticide treatments on residential and commercial properties.

Humane Raccoon Removal

Raccoons may seem cute and cuddly, but in reality they are a nuisance if they enter your home.  Raccoons cannot only cause damage to your home, but they may also carry parasites that can be passed to humans through contact with the animal’s feces. Although it is not common, raccoons can carry rabies.

Rodent Removal Information

Mice, rats and other rodents commonly enter homes looking for warmth. They make their way in through very small holes in your home’s structure and leave feces, urine and odor in their wake. They often chew wires in their search for food. And if they die in the walls, the smell in your home can be tremendous.  If you have a rodent problem, Peachtree can safely remove these pests

Snake Removal Services

Although most of us are daunted by the idea of a snake encounter, the majority of snakes found in urban or suburban neighborhoods are not dangerous. Still, it is always best to consult a professional if there is a snake in or on your property.

Eastern Diamondback
Non-Venomous vs. Venomous
Snakes are scaly reptiles who move by sliding across the ground and flick their tongue to smell or sense the air.

Common non-venomous snakes in the Southeast are rat snakes and garter snakes. They have narrow shaped heads, round pupils, and feed on insects, small rodents and eggs.

Venomous snakes like copperheads, cottonmouths, rattlesnakes, or coral snakes have triangle shaped heads and more elliptical shaped pupils.

Squirrels

Squirrels are a much cuter when they’re outsideinstead of insideyourhome. Though they’re considered non-violent, squirrels can wreak havoc on a house when they invade.
Roof Rat Infestation

The roof rat got its name from its tendency to set up camp in higher structures. If you live in a neighborhood with fences, or high shrubbery or fruit trees, it’s easy for them to scamper down fences, utility lines, and roofs. They are known to live in the tops of palm trees which can also make easy access to the home and attic.

Once roof rats enter a house, they gravitate towards high areas like attics, soffits, drop ceilings and upper wall voids.  Although they seek refuge in homes, they usually find their food source outdoors.

Peachtree’s Removal Process

Bed Bug Control

Bed bugs are nocturnal, elusive insects that are about the size of an apple seed. The name originates from the way bedbugs eat: they feed on human blood while their prey sleeps.
